NDIS Improved Daily Living Programs

Empowering Your Independence Through Targeted Skill Development and Therapy

Welcome to a Life of Greater Independence

At Care Loop Health, our mission is to empower you to live your life on your own terms. We understand that everyday tasks whether it is preparing a meal, communicating your needs, or managing a personal routine can sometimes present unique challenges.

Our NDIS Improved Daily Living Programs are expertly designed to help you overcome these barriers. Rather than simply doing things for you, our dedicated allied health professionals and skill-building coaches work collaboratively with you to develop your capacities. We focus on teaching, guiding, and supporting you to build the lifelong skills necessary to navigate your daily environment with confidence, safety, and autonomy.

What is 'Improved Daily Living' Under the NDIS?

Within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Improved Daily Living is a specific funding category that falls under your Capacity Building budget. The core objective of this funding is to provide assessment, training, or therapy to help increase your skills, independence, and community participation.

These supports are not about temporary fixes; they are about long-term growth. At Care Loop Health, we utilize this funding to provide evidence-based interventions tailored specifically to your unique goals, helping you transition from relying on core supports to mastering daily tasks independently.

Our Comprehensive Range of Services

Care Loop Health takes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to capacity building. Our Improved Daily Living Programs encompass a wide variety of therapeutic and practical supports, including:

1

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Our experienced Occupational Therapists focus on the practical aspects of your daily life. We assist with:

  • Assessing and recommending assistive technology (from modified cutlery to mobility aids).
  • Developing strategies for self-care routines (showering, dressing, and grooming).
  • Sensory regulation techniques for neurodivergent participants.
  • Recommending minor or major home modifications to ensure your living environment is safe and accessible.
2

Speech Pathology

Communication is a fundamental daily living skill. Our Speech Pathologists work with participants of all ages to improve:

  • Clarity of speech and language comprehension.
  • The use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
  • Social communication skills for better interactions in the community.
  • Safe swallowing and mealtime management (dysphagia support).
3

Life Skills Training & Habit Coaching

For those who need practical, hands-on support in managing their day, our specialized skill-building coaches offer targeted training in:

  • Meal planning, safe cooking practices, and grocery shopping.
  • Household management, cleaning routines, and organization.
  • Budgeting, financial literacy, and understanding how to pay bills.
  • Time management and executive functioning support to overcome task paralysis.
4

Early Childhood Intervention

For our youngest participants (aged 0-9), Improved Daily Living funding covers crucial early intervention supports. We work closely with families and educators to build foundational motor, cognitive, and social skills that set children up for a successful transition to primary school.
