Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Speech Pathology is recognized as a vital allied health service. It focuses on much more than just "speaking clearly." Speech Pathology encompasses the entire spectrum of how we interact and consume food safely.

Speech and Articulation Therapy
We assist individuals who have difficulty pronouncing words clearly, making them hard to understand. Whether it is a childhood articulation delay, apraxia of speech, or dysarthria following a neurological event, we implement targeted exercises to improve vocal clarity, muscle coordination, and speech fluency.
Expressive and Receptive Language Skills

This ranges from low-tech options (like picture exchange boards and Makaton sign language) to high-tech, NDIS-funded electronic speech-generating devices (like iPads with Proloquo2Go).
Social Communication (Pragmatics)
For many neurodivergent participants, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the unwritten rules of social interaction can be confusing. We provide practical therapy to help participants understand social cues, maintain eye contact (if comfortable), interpret body language, take turns in conversation, and build meaningful relationships with peers.
Swallowing and Mealtime Management (Dysphagia)
Speech Pathologists are the primary medical professionals responsible for assessing and treating dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). We conduct comprehensive mealtime assessments to evaluate the safety of your swallow. We then provide critical recommendations, such as modifying food textures, thickening liquids, or introducing safe swallowing postures, to prevent choking and ensure proper nutrition.
